Temitope Yusuf Named a Rising Star by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association
“My experience at Arent Fox has turned out to be better than I’d imagined,” Ms. Yusuf told MCCA. “Uniquely, I’ve been able to balance my interest in labor and employment and white collar work at the firm, two areas with some crossover but not a lot of overlap.”
Last year, Ms. Yusuf received the National Employment Law Council’s Rising Star award, which recognizes up and coming employment lawyers who demonstrate skills and aptitude for excellence. Ms. Yusuf, who advises clients under investigation by the Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, and New York County District Attorney’s Office, was one of only four young lawyers to receive the NELC’s Rising Star Award. Ms. Yusuf routinely provides counseling, develops gold-standard compliance policies and procedures, and conducts global investigations on issues including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act, and the False Claims Act.
Ms. Yusuf has the distinction of being the inaugural Diversity Scholarship Recipient at Arent Fox, is a member of the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion, Employment and Pro Bono committees, and is the firm’s 2015 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellow.
