Jess is an associate in Arent Fox's Real Estate practice, regularly advising local and national real estate developers, home builders, landlords, and tenants as they negotiate and document retail, industrial, ground, hotel, office, and mixed-use acquisitions; dispositions; development projects; leases; and financing transactions.
Jess represents national, regional, and community banks and financial institutions, as well as private lenders and non-conventional loan providers, in the documentation, due diligence, and closing of secured lending transactions. Jess has experience representing the lead bank or administrative agent in syndicated loan facilities, as well as participant lenders in multi-lender credit facilities, and negotiating intercreditor and subordination arrangements for both senior and subordinate credit providers.
Jess often works with both lenders and borrowers and has successfully negotiated, documented, and closed working capital and accounts receivable-based lines of credit, equipment, and other asset-based loans, real estate acquisition, construction, and refinance loans and loans used for company buyouts, acquisitions, and mergers.
