Kathryn L. Steffen
Kate represents her clients on a broad range of matters involving complex multistate health care transactions, such as deal structuring in compliance with federal and state health care laws and regulations, conducting corporate and regulatory due diligence, and advising on licensure and Medicare and Medicaid certification.
She also has experience assisting health care providers and nonprofit organizations with other corporate and transactional matters, including new entity formation, corporate structuring and restructuring, changes of ownership or control, affiliations, and corporate governance. Additionally, Kate has assisted nonprofit clients with federal tax exemption recognition and compliance and daily operational matters.
Prior to joining Arent Fox, Kate was an associate at a Pennsylvania-based law firm with a robust health care practice. Kate was a member of the firm’s Health Care and Corporate/Transactional practice groups.
